FUDO-kiln(located at DACHI): Founded about 50 years ago. Their style is rooted in traditional techniques and glazes, but with a modern sharpness. By delicately wiping the fine-grained black clay with water, a surprisingly smooth texture is achieved even though it is unglazed (bisque). The contrast with the TENMOKU glaze on the inside is also distinctive. Even in its minimalist shape, the craftsman’s attention to detail is evident.
